Detour: Chingay (flag carrying on the head/face) in the Padang Kota Lama! Translates into "Field of the Old Fort," just outside Fort Cornwallis (Neobie) in front of the Penang Town Hall.
VS incense carrying at Thnee Kong Thua (天公壇), or Altar of the Jade Emperor (Neobie)

Caper's link mentions the spice garden as being near the Mutiara resort, a beach place with similar balcony/windows (I'd like more pictures before calling it, though) (source).
