right. Once they have the bottle on shore.

Nvm. Caelestor beat me to it.

I say we get this thing scored if there are no other objections. I hated the wait last week.

--- Quote ---10 Points - Steve & Allie and Carol & Brandy appear to leave something during the race. Which team loses the most spots in going back to get what they lost?
0 points - 1 people answered this question - Neither loses any spots
0 points - 5 people answered this question - Both lose an equal amount of spot
--- End quote ---

No. Steve and Allie do NOT go back for what they left (their backbacks), so by default they do not lose any spots. SO can't be both. So do C/B lose a spot?? I can't remember.

--- End quote ---

I asked this question before the leg aired. If neither team loses any spots, then technically both lost an equal amount of spots (0). Both are correct.

--- End quote ---

Steve and Allie did not go back at all, so there is no "neither" team in regards to losing spots by the action of going back, which is what the clue asks for.. The only team in this Q who went back is Brandy and Carol. so it can't be both, since one of them didn't go back. The question has no answer.

Hooky, sorry you hated the wait, but there is always time for everyone to discuss the Q's, not just those here in the first five minutes, so  :chillpill:   We have to let G-man chime in

Yes.  Going by Phil's description of the RB being taking a dive and bringing the bottle up to the boat. It's  after that where Jet & Cord screw up.
--- End quote ---

No? I was thinking they don't finish the RB until they go back the Second time, they lose places...  They don't have the bottle when they leave the boat for the map stage, which is where the RB ensd for me...leaving the boat with the bottle.

Well all we have is Phil's voice over to really draw a line.  And here is what Phil says,"One team member must find a submerged case of seven bottles figure out how to untie it and then bring one of the seven bottles up to the surface.  With that task complete team members must work together to assemble a map.  Once on shore the map will lead them a long a path to their most valued treasure, the Pit Stop."

Based off Phil's words (not to mention other racers touching and holding the bottle as soon as its on board), the task is over once reaching the surface (I would say where they started the roadblock).  And the fact that once on shore is after him talking about working as a team.

So for this the RB is over once they get to the surface of the water.  For more proof Dan has the map (out of the bootle and is the one to take it to shore).

The point on this is they don't lose any spots.  Since both lose zero, then its the same number of spots.  I don't think the fact that Steve & Allie don't go back invalidate either possible answer.

I don't think either answer says that a team went back or not, just that an equal amount of spots were lost with that number being zero.

But feel free to argue this one.
