I think they line up pretty good.  The bench the greeter is sitting on in the wide shot is seen behind him and Phil in the closer shot.  If you look at the wide shot, the mat shot was taken from the right side.  The mat shot was also taken with a longer lens, so this distorts the perspective some.  (wide shot, 105mm lens; mat shot 135mm lens)

PS - the shots were taken 14 minutes apart only.  Wide shot was at 3:50.  Mat shot was at 4:04.

If y'all go back to our spoiler video taken at the final 3 mat in Moscow Season 13, (the one puddin and I sold our souls for) you can see how this works. Production and the lighting guys are lying in wait. :lol:
