Phil's voice over confirms all teams on the same flights from the Seychelles to Penang via Dubai; no mention of any other connections, just that it was a 21-hour flight. Oh, and that the first flight departed at about 2 am, more or less.

The ferry from Prawlin to Mahe left at 2 am......not a flight.

If the teams in Puerto Vallarta stayed up until 2am, and we assume that TPTB doesn't want to keep them up as much as possible, does that mean Steve and Allie were eliminated in Penang, 14h ahead, at around 4pm?

Puerto Vallarta Mexico is in the Central Time Zone Daylight Savings now, but Standard time in December, UTC/GMT - 6 in Dec. 2009 Penang was UTC/GMT +8 hours year-round for 2009 and 2010.

This shows why Neobie's calculation of a 14 hours time zone differential is correct for Dec. 2009.

So 4pm Penang time was = 2am same day Puerto Vallarta time.
