We see Brian put a stack on the table, perhaps they are labeled with where they have been type clues or tasks they have done, like maybe say for instance a monkey chip? And perhaps they have to collect x amount of one color with the logo then stack it in a certain order on the table?

Maybe it's find chips with your name/face on them. A red chip would stand out pretty well among all those greens, yellows and blues.
Maybe they start in stacks, and the racers have to spread them out to find the correct chips.
