TARCON XV: Questions for the Racers (and/or General Stuff)

<< < (3/7) > >>

puddin:
Were any of the contestants allowed to Twitter while in sequester, before the race started?

Hooky:
A dumb question for the truly obsessed fan (like me): Do the backpack tag numbers have any significance (like for casting roles, etc.), or are they just randomly assigned? I have (sadly) been dying to know the answer to this question. :groan:

I too would like to know how the Pit Stop lengths were determined, and whether Leg 7 was meant to be a NEL.

Coutzy:
I would like to know how many countries they had to apply for visas for.

Dånooky:
I want to know which racers have read anything from Franz Kafka

Mister RC:

Yeah, this confused me as well.  I need to double check the post-race interview, but it's definitely worth asking and knowing, given how things turned out.  I think a similar case happened with U/J in TAR11.

So there's that, the tweeting question, and the pitstop lengths (amongst the rest).  I don't mind asking about the twitter one for the record, but I think I can answer that one now.  From pre-race sequesterville to the race to post-race sequesterville, no one is allow to have contact outside of the AR community.  Although the Twitter boom took place around February-April of this year, after the AR14 people raced (meaning that TAR15 is the first race since twitter became the thing everyone had) twitter connects with people all over the world.

I'll still ask, but only if I can get there to do so, unless someone else asks before I do.  Speaking of which, I think most of the people here that are going will be on there way out sometime tomorrow.  So if there's anything else that anyone wants to know, please try to ask it today.  I believe they need to print out the questions so no one forgets to ask the racers that can make TARcon.

Of course, if anyone forgets something, if I end up going, I should be able to see anything new that shows up tomorrow or prior to late-Saturday.
