I can think of many teams on previous seasons that would've done exactly that.

They lost due to Mika Fear.. :'( :'(

Well the Trotters could have let the time run down in silence, and if Mika did manage to perform it they have to know that they would be able to beat Mika & Canaan in a foot race.
But I don't blame them for what they did. It just wasn't a nice thing to do.

Well Flo refused to to repel, but she had the option of another task. This is the first time a team has lost due to a racer's inability to face his/her fear.
