No, they all knew about the haybales from before. ;)

One racer did not know it was going to be the same hay bale task from before, rather they thought they would be looking for a "needle" in a haystack

change "first team to reach the detour" to "first team to receive the detour clue". Because the Detour could have very well begun once they got the gnome.

I often use both. Usually when we start getting viewer teams.
But we had so much info (I thought) on general placement for this episode.

I think the detour task STARTS with the donning of the gear, so bye bye points for me. Anytime you have to dress or undress or whatever...I can tell you that is part of the Detour clue itself.
And the tilt is the first stage of getting the gnome IMO...

For the tilt what pushes me to treat it as a separate task is that their is a route marker for each part. I generally consider that to be something different (It doesn't help me at all).
I am trying to rack my brain to find a task that includes to route marker clues. Hell even the infamous Roadblock in Sydney didn't have individual route markers.
TARAsia Fan:
Usually, I'll agree with gman on his questions (because it irritates mswood), but I don't think that greeter is a full-grown woman at all. Definitely a boy there and certainly not full-grown.
Hooky:
The tilt is definitely a separate task from the gnome. But I think you should give credit for both Meghan & Cheyne and Sam & Dan on the Detour question because I have no idea how to distinguish which opinion would be more correct. :duno:
I just barely watched the episode, and I'm kind of surprised there are no scores here yet! Based on impressions though, I get the feeling I did terribly this time, but we'll see.
