Denver is driving and hopefully will beat America's Most Hated NFL team, the Patriots.
And I thought that was the cowboys.

CBS Eye-lert for tonight says:
Quote
Revised start times for tonight's CBS programs: 60 Minutes (7:42pm ET), Amazing Race (8:42pm ET), Three Rivers (9:42pm ET) and Cold Case (10:42pm ET) due to an NFL runover.

puddin,

I would not say that CBS has the double-header game, as FOX also has to games after 4pm. Tennessee @ New England and Buffalo @ NY Jets on CBS are unfortunately 415pm starts while the FOX late games start at 405pm.

So a late start for TAR again?

I think a little clarification is needed here.  The fact that either FOX or CBS has a single game does not mean that all of their markets receive a game at 1 pm ET. (And this time of year, FOX or CBS may be carrying a live sports event in addition to a NFL game.

Thus, for those of us in the eastern and central time zones, we have to deal with late games more often than not since both FOX and CBS have figured out that the late game overruns help their ratings and often suppresses NBC's SNF ratings a bit. Since overruns seem to help TAR's ratings for some reason no one's been able to explain and this is the third year we've had that phenomenon, I don't complain too loudly.

On a related note, the CBS Eye-lerts link now goes to the sign up page again, so anyone who wants the Eye-lert directly to their e-mail can sign up for it.  Note that you have to have (or create) a user account for the CBS-related websites in order to sign up.

CBS does have the doubleheader this week. Fox may have a game at 4, but it is only shown regionally. The 4:15 p.m. slot is a national game affecting the start times of CBS' primetime lineup in the Eastern and Central time zones. And there's no need to be combative, ap.

2nd half of the Bills/Jets just started, so expect a fairly long delay tonight.

This should telll you something about when.  The fourth quarter of the Jets/Bills game started at exactly 7 pm ET, with the score tied 13-13. So my guess is at least a 45 minute delay unless one team gets way ahead, and there's always the possibility of overtime.

(My CBS station was switched from the Patriots-Titans game after halftime, when the score was already 45-0 in the midst of a nor'easter with heavy snowfall.)

The Jets/Bills has moved along. With 3 minutes to go, it is 726pm. However, the game is still tied at 13-13 so overtime is a real possiblity.

Miss FG!  Oh wait!  It's the Bills. NM, sorry y'all!

Now, let's hope OT doesn't emulate that Cincy vs. Cleveland game 2 weeks ago!

The Bills kicker missed a 46 yard field goal. It's OT, with the Kickoff right now at 739pm

The Jets are going to try a 50 yard field goal, but the snap is bobbled and the bills intercept the desperation pass at their own 35 yard line.

Buffalo now has the ball and it looks more likely that this game could end in a tie well after 8pm.

So we're not looking at a TAR start until around 9.30pm EST, are we?

Wow! CBS has just cut "Cold Case" from tonight's schedule. I can't remember the last time CBS dropped one of the Sunday shows because of an overrun.

Meanwhile, the interceptions are coming back and forth fast and furious.

For real!  You'd think they would've axed Three Rivers.  I guess it could be a good lead-in, and it's new (not struggling).  I guess they'll replace a rerun of TR for CC.  But hey!  At least they didn't drop TAR!

Anyway, game just ended.

With the one hour plus overrun, the CBS eye-lert advises that:
Quote
Revised start times for tonight's CBS programs: 60 Minutes (8:14pm ET), Amazing Race (9:14pm ET), Three Rivers (10:14pm ET) and (11:14pm ET) due to an NFL runover.

This system ate my 810pm prediction that 60 Minutes would start at 815pm. It did.
