TAR15 Flights and Transportation Information
Neobie:
Probably a billion ways to get from Dubai to Amsterdam. There are no direct flights for our racers, so how fast they get to the airport will determine when they arrive in Amsterdam. The actual racing begins the next day though (they arrive in the late afternoon), so there's probably a bunching or a staggered start...
Here are a couple of possibilities for the morning of 29 Jul:
EK 59 (0900-1345), then WA 1782 (1515-1625) via Hamburg
CX 63 (0905-1220), then CL 4698 (1515-1645) via Munich
MH 6142 (1000-1430), then KL 1768 (1545-1700) via Frankfurt

Apskip's not free to post at the moment, so I'm conveying this message:

Zurich 0840
Rome 0925
Manchester 0755

It's difficult without 'yer, Apskip! Be back ASAP!

--- Quote from: apskip on August 02, 2009, 08:07:08 PM ---With a single connection starting from Talinn, AR15 could go to any major city in Europe or Africa.
Here are the 24 flights (not counting to Stockholm or to Gothernburg since AR15 was previously in Sweden or to Vilnius since AR12 was there) in alphabetical order of the destination city which could be taken on Tuesday Aug. 4 out of Talinn:
Brussels OV177 1815 1955
Copenhagen OV141 0640 0720
Copenhagen OV143 1255 1335
Copenhagen OV145 1810 1845
Dublin OV201 2230 2350
Frankfurt LH3179 1840 2010
Helsinki AY3940 0615 0650
Helsinki AY3922 0820 1850
Helsinki AY3926 1445 1520
Helsinki AY3930 1755 1830
Helsinki AY3932 2130 2205
London Gatwick OV101 1615 1715
Moscow OV301 1325 1605
Oslo OV137 1425 1505
Oslo DY1067 2215 2255
Paris OV171 0800 1010
Prague OK879 1515 1625
Riga BT364 0520 0615
Riga BT312 1010 1105
Riga BT366 0850 0845
Riga BT312 1010 1105
Riga BT314 1140 1235
Riga BT316 1610 1705
Riga BT362 2115 2210
Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Paris and Prague are all major airports with connections to other places in Europe as well as to Africa.
My personal hunch is that Copehagen will be visited for the first time in the leg following Talinn. Depending on whether there was a second leg in Dubai, that next leg will be either 9 or 10.

--- Quote --- I did exactly spot this team at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport for two weeks ago while I was waiting for my flight to Japan

I asked the date and team ..
--- Quote ---Re: The Amazing Race Re: The Amazing Race I saw them on July 25th evening at the airport. I do not remember the team, but there was a lady and a man. It looked like they were trying to find tickets to the next destination, they did even borrow a computer from a check-in disk for International flights.

eta:I thought the info might help with the flights to Dubai and date etc
