Gary/Matt (pink hair/father-son) do not have checked luggage tags on their backpacks. The biggest problem with them is that they're in the same place as Herb/Nate (Globetrotters), who do have tags on their backpacks.
Also, in terms of carry-ons being tagged on international flights, has it been completely ruled out that teams could have flown in via Toronto?

woden, I can only answer that from my own perspective. Here are the nonstop flights from Toronto to Las Vegas on the morning of August 7:
US160 0850 1026
AC591 (codeshare UA8417) 0935 1115
WS 918 0830 1016
That's a lot of flights and probably influences Chateau's public statements that Toronto was viable. It still is, but there is the major problem of "how do you get there?".
The issue has never the ability to get from YYZ to LAS. The issue has been the connecting flight to get from a major European airport to Toronto in the correct time frame to connect with any of the above, meaning arrival before 7am. The same-day answer is the null set. I have checked LHR, LGW, CDG, PRG itself, AMS, CPH, ZRH, FRA, DUS, MUC, FCO and VIE, which include the 10 largest airports in Europe because Moscow splits traffic to 3 airports). I get a total of 28 nonstop daily flights from those airports to Toronto, but not a single one gets there within 12 hours of the right time frame. All flights land in the afternoon or early evening. This is not surprising if you think about it.
Flights from any European city to Toronto are into the jet stream and almost 4 hours more than the 6 hour time difference (except for LHR and LGW at a 5 hour time difference). When do flights typically leave from Europe for the U.S. or Canada? Not in the middle of the night, that's for sure because they would land very early in the morning. They do not leave until mid-morning, so by definition they will arrive after noon. Flights tend to stop departing for U.S./Canada late afternoon for evening arrival. So nobody should be surprised that there is on reasonable way to use Toronto as a connecting point. The existence of a nonstop from Prague is interesting, But OK102 is 1115 1430, way late for the right connections and way to arrive a day early to hide out and wait for them.

^^^What he said.
I was watching the arrival area at YYZ for OK102 on August 6th and did not see any teams or production. Then, I was camped out at YYZ watching the check-in for US160, AC591 and WS 918 - on the guess that the teams had arrived on Aug 6 in the afternoon from other Prague/Europe flights and had checked into the airport hotel overnight to get the early flights to LV. I saw nothing - so unless the teams camped out for 12 hours in the departure area (unlikely) they were not on those flights.
And - they don't tag carry-on baggage on flights from YYZ to the USA.

What bothers me is why the "pink hair" team has such HUGE backpacks (full to the brim).... Hey, wake up, this is the final city... you're racing to the finish line for $1M dollars.... lose the clothes... you're not going camping after this... :funny: :groan:
oh, BTW, is that the camera guy and audio guy (with microphone) way behind them? :res:

Teams don't check their bags I believe while in race mode but don't quote me on that and Racefan82 did mention in his email that their were camera and soundguys behind the racers .....I should have quoted him .. sorry ;D

Perhaps their bags are full because just like the Globetrotters their bags are full because they are not actually racing in the final location. They remembered to remove the checked-bag tags which only one of the Globetrotters forgot to remove. The length of the tag also indicates that the bag was on several connecting flights.
The only teams actually spotted in Sin City are the pink-haired Father/Son Duo and the two Globetrotters. Could they both be decoy teams? The Globetrotters being Philiminated in Tallinn and the Father/Son team in Prague. Has TPTB and WRP learned their lesson when RFF spotted the decoy Poker Playing Mamas (WITHOUT BACKPACKS) so easily in Tallinn? Have they gone so far as actually secured a film permit just to make the arrival of the two decoy teams look more like the real thing? Have the actual final three teams really been in another location all this time? Most of the speculation about the two teams and the final solution has been based on one post which contained no actual sighting but a lot of suggested plot for the final day without confirmation.
Have TPTB and WRP finally been successful in leading the RFF detectives to bark up the wrong tree?

I'd say no. Even though they're there, It's possible that the other three can be easily seen, and I think it's not going to be possible to fly two teams away from the finish line... The finish line must be near the location though.

I'm having trouble placing the Harlem shot. It's the one that will give a good time.
Think it is on the opposite end of the Rialto bridge (and opposite side) as compared with the shot of Gary & Matt Tomjenovich that Boingo placed. But I need some tourista shots of that area to find the boxy planter they are running past
