Lukes post interview

While Victor and Tammy being asian didnt really have anything to do with me liking them, I was just annoyed at Luke for his disrespect toward them. Just because he didnt win. The way he worded his comment just really made me see red.

I watch the race to see the best racers win. And with his interview it just seemed like he felt that he was intitled to win because he was handicapped. oh well. Now onto next season

Disappointing if they turn out to be true. If that rumor about Susan & Patrick and Rob & Amber turned out to be true, do you think maybe it was for safety reasons? Didn't they kind of do the same for Peter & Sarah in Kuwait (if I remember correctly)?

No, they did not. Your understanding of the Kuwait episode finish needs enhancement. They were given directions to the pit stop (and maybe even an escort) so they can come in to the pit stop to be eliminated since all other teams have finished ahead of them and it was an Elimination leg. They never finished the DETOUR after many hours of searching for it. What they found was the site of the already-taken FAST FORWARD, but nothing else of consequence.

Who is also good at spelling errors is correct, Peter & Sarah were hopelessly lost, and after being hours behind the last team (and with no end in site) they were directed by producers to skip the tasks and get to the Pit Stop.  I have wondered if they did the same for Paul & Amie back in season one, when they actually did lose all communication with them at one point.

It does get to be a safety issue allowing teams who are very tired, and very stressed to be operating motor vehicles.  After point they do need to step in, and after all its always been when their elimination is already foregone.

I do agree that I want the best racing team to win, I generally don't care a bit about the makeup of the racers, young, old, fit, out of shape, male, female, racial makeup, or relationship.

I was just trying to point out that for many fans (based solely off of different web sites, which is hardly scientific), I think its something they really do care about.

To me its first and foremost a race.  Its like watching the Boston Marathon.  You know an athletic fit man is going to win, but there are so many great stories about any number of other racers who are out there competing.  They don't have to win, to be winners.

And I think that is something that the race has to a degree lost.  And yeah I would love to see an all female team win, or an older team win, but I feel casting has been staking the deck to make that more likely to happen.  Which to me cheapens it a little.

Its one of the reasons I have loved how they have changed the last three seasons final episode.  Instead of making it the easiest leg to win (with beginning and mid point equalizers) to allow teams to erase any mistake they have made.  They start each team with a blank slate and you live and die off of your own performance.  Several teams have had good leads (enough to get them the win) be completely erased near the end of the leg, which has allowed other teams to win.  And I have always hated that, even if I liked the team that did end up winning.

Yeah, I agree. I think it's about time we let a young male team back on the show. There is just as much possibility of that team getting eliminated as a dating team like Preston & Jennifer and Amanda & Kris, and look where those teams ended up.
