Individual medley, one swimmer does 4 different strokes during the race.  So, Phelps did all 400m of the race, so 400m = 8 laps of an Olympic size pool.  (8 x 50m = 400m).   :groan:  Not an easy task even for an average swimmer.

puddin:
The press release makes it seem like doing the Olympic-themed task is something they all must do don't you think?

Having a Baby's Gotta Be Easier Than This (China)
An Olympic task leaves racers gasping for breath. Animosity grows as two teams continue to hold a grudge against each other. One racer is paralyzed with fear-after coming this far, will they choose to go home? A Chinese foot massage puts racers through more pain than pleasure.

The Olympic task is most likely the swimming task, and Jen's obviously the one paralyzed by fear.

The Roadblock looks really tough!

As for the animosity between two teams, that's obviously LaKisha & Jen and Margie & Luke.

Beijing is 1340 miles from Guilin, much more north than east. It is much cooler than Guilin in November.

Beijing in November has an averagte high of 49 to 52 degrees F and an average low of 29 to 33 degrees F.

On Nov. 19, high temp was 39 and the low temp was 15. This is why teams needed warmer clothing.
On nov. 20, high temp was 57 and the low temp was 19.
On Nov. 21, high temp was 53 and the low temp was 28.
