DrRox:
Well, I just hope Margie only had the intermediate stage of heat prostration. If she trully had heatstroke, a competent doctor will end her race. You cannot recover in a 12 hour pit stop. It took me about a month to recover.

Very nice and thanks for the link hakushu!

Slowhatch:
Nice find!  A kmz is included in the link you mentioned; Thepnimit is just down the street from Rama 9 park.

Gorilla? Gorilla?? Gorilla??? (Thailand)

Teams take a walk on the wild side…or rather, the wild side walks on them.

One team finds itself at the mercy of a slow moving Thai shopkeeper.  :yess:

A first place team finds itself in the penalty box—and their victory in jeopardy hmmm

and in the extreme temperature of Thailand, one racer collapses from exhaustion.

Boingo:
;D  Found this Thailand blog with a reference to a "one-armed tiger trainer".   :ascared

here's an quote:

Today I woke up at 8:30 and ate at Don’s. I trained at 10 with matt. Morning training went great. Matt showed me some good clinch work. Afterwards I went back to the Zoo with Rhys. I watched all three shows this time, and watched him getting his picture taken with the tiger. I didn’t tell him the details and he flipped when the one-armed Tiger “trainer” pushed him to lay on the beast. It was great fun. I trained int he afternoon, and then made my way to Cheap Ass for dinner and bull****ting.
