The % of Total viewing by DVR table ranks which of the Top 150 broadcast shows [by Live+7 viewers] had thelargest % of viewing by DVR in their Live+7 audience numbers from viewers watching shows later on their digital video recorders (DVRs).
Definitions:
DVR (Time-shifted) Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data –Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs which are currently in approximately 24.4% of all U.S. TV households. Live+Same Day(Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
Same Day DVR Viewers - How many people watched the show on their DVRs prior to 3AM the day following the airdate,
DVR Viewers - How many people watched the show on their DVRs within 7 days following the airdate
% of All Viewing By DVR - Of the total viewing of that particular episode, what percentage was done via DVR.
% of DVR Viewing On Airdate - Of the DVR viewing of that particular episode, what percentage was done prior to 3AM the day following the airdate.

Am I reading this right?? We had the largest percentage except for the Wed American Idol show?? WOW!
mswood:
Peach that percentage is those who used DVR's to watch that same day. And on this we do exceptionally well.
And that is good. Those viewers count equally as those who watch the show live (and in fact are including in the final ratings).
And as more viewers go to DVR's for their typical viewing habit studios look for programs that have a high rate of immediate use. Because the longer it is you take to watch a DVR program the less money the studio gets. After 3 days the studio get virtually nothing.
TARAsia Fan:
The NCAA Tournament ratings have been up 8% overall this season and even with blowouts on Friday, the ratings went up. So, with that in mind, I do expect things to go well for TAR again this week. There may be a slight down tick from last week, but not much. Still enough to win the night for CBS because they won both Friday and Saturday nights thanks to college basketball.
Now in two weeks when we have The Masters, if Tiger Woods is in contention or winning in the final round, watch the ratings for the overrun go up. Plus The Masters has this strange power over CBS that it has to run the Green Jacket ceremony at the Butler Cabin in its entirety. This is the previous year's winner putting on the ceremonial Green Jacket on this year's winner. There will be short Q&A session between Jim Nantz and the winner. For the last three years, the ceremony has run well past 7 p.m. and 60 Minutes has started about 7:20 - 7:30 p.m. I'm giving you the warning in advance.
However, as Peach knows if there's weather issues in Georgia, then Augusta National may start the final round early and if that happens, 60 Minutes could start on time. That's happened once in the last five years.

press release:
CBS Places First on Sunday in Key Demos for the Second Straight Week
"60 Minutes," "The Amazing Race" and "Cold Case" Win Their Time Periods
