Kiwi Jay:
 Ken! :funny: I watched it 3 times in a row!...I know! And loved it best season opener ever for me with a few others close behind!
Chateau d If:
The velocity of the rolling cheese can be estimated using conservation of energy. The change in elevation from the cheese shack at 718 meters to the bottom of the hill at 653 meters is 65 meters. All of the potential energy converts to kinetic energy of motion. The relationship is:
(3/4) * mass * velocity^2 = mass * gravitational acceleration * change of elevation
Solving for velocity:
velocity = sqrt(1.3333 * gravitational acceleration * change of elevation)
Using 9.8 meters/sec^2 for the gravity we get a speed of 29 meters/sec or 65 mph!
Mrs Shrek:
:ascared That's enough to knock you off your feet. Guess they didn't have any manned cameras located directly at the bottom of the hill, and I hope the clue bearer took shelter behind the cabin each time a missile was launched....
Makes you wonder why there wasn't some form of a penalty for anyone who let go of their cheese, just for safety reasons...
Neobie:
Tsk-tsk, Chateau! Half-m-v-squared! (Oh God I'm turning into Apskip.)
That gives us 35.7ms^-1 (assuming no friction). Yikes!
Each cheese wheel weighs 22.7kg, which translates to 811kgms^-1 of momentum, which would send someone like Amanda (who says she weighs 45.6kg) flying at 11.9ms^-1 or 26.6mph in an inelastic collision... blahblah

omg ........ :grins: , maybe you should 1, and only 1 of those meds Neobie
