It must be a 24 hour or more probably a 18 hour pit stop. Marge and Luke arrived just before sunset which was at 4:47PM; but we see them again reading the route info in front of the Austria sign in bright sunlight. Could it be 4:47PM again? Or as a minimum an 18 hour pit stop so that they would be leaving Salzburg at 10:47AM

Perhaps this even allows for the teams to do at least ONE additional task in Salzburg. It would be a shame to be in that lovely and culturally important city and not do anything. Perhaps they have to find Mozart's birth house to get the next clue telling them to fly to Romania. Or up to the fortress, or find the clue in St. Peter's graveyard. Anything. Anything.
When I look at all the evidence, I conclude that it was a 18 hour pit stop, agreeing with GMan. There is nothing for teams to do from 4am to noon except get on inferior flight combinations, so a 12 hour pit sotp is unlikely. The best ones occur after 5pm, so teams would logically need hours before that to get to the airport and book them. A 24 hour pit stop would not allow enough time.

Somehow I get the feeling that since they aren't showing a lot of other teams in the tasks in the day, that our top teams are Mark and Michael, Amanda and Kris, Tammy and Victor, and Mel and Mike. They might have to do the gymnastics the night before, or perhaps those teams are behind. But I think that since Brad and Victoria had to make an unprecidented stop and that after they arrive at their connection, they are TOO late. And they may not make it for the possible hours of operation.
