It's not finished processing yet, try again in a couple minutes.

--- Quote from: Neobie on February 13, 2009, 02:10:48 AM ---On Day Two, Preston/Jennifer are in Interlaken by 2.51pm and running to the Pit Stop in daylight, so a late afternoon train ride is unlikely. Teams are driving, if not checked in at Salzburg, at dusk on Day Three, so it doesn't belong there either.

It's the train to Locarno, right? Is Arth-Goldau a fit? (It's a Treni Regionali Ticino Lombardia train, if it helps!)

1609 Zurich to 1646 Arth-Goldau
1650 Arth-Goldau to 1823 Bellinzona
1830 Bellinzona to 1913 Locarno

Might also want to look into Bellinzona, Chiasso or Como S. Giovanni; these serve trains coming in from Milan (though I really don't think TPTB would be that smart) and connecting at 4.52pm.

Question: why are they alone?

v Video doesn't work for me...?

Video doesn't work for me either.....at 2:50 am.

Good call Neobie. They could have missed the train at Zurich Airport or Zurich Main Station. This would have put them a train cycle behind other teams on their flight. In the one vid cap, when the train doors are open, you can see a sign on the building in the background. Maybe someone can do a zoom on it and tell what station it is where they are getting on. They could have missed the connection in Arth-Goldau. It left at 16:50 and the clock says 2 minutes after that.

Neobie:
Aah, getting the train company means Arth-Goldau is not the station we're looking for, it's not on TILO's route! (Oops DrRox, I've edited my previous post while you were typing!)

I've looked at Bellinzona, but TILO trains leave only every half hour, on the hour and on the half-hour. There's an IR train leaving at 4.54pm (arriving Locarno 5.13pm), which beats the TILO S20 train leaving at 5.00pm (arriving Locarno 5.27pm). The vidcaps look like pictures of Bellinzona though, but the signs don't match. Tearing hair out over this one!

Where else could it be? TILO's trains really don't run that many routes, the others go into Italy. Could Apskip be right about Milan? (Trying to decipher the Italian on TILO's website!)

*More analysis on Timetables*

Well its highly unlikely for Switzerland, but could the clock be wrong. Maybe they missed the 16:54 and are getting on the next train, the TILO at 17:00 to go to Locarno. They still could have come from Zurich if this is the case. Maybe thats why they took a pic of the clock, cuz its wrong.

Neobie:
You might be right DrRox, those Swiss and their perfect clocks!

After looking at so many train stations Bellinzona still looks the closest... But can anyone figure out the sign next to the 'C'? I've never seen anything like it!

If we can get the train number as it comes into the station, I think we could figure this one out!
