I created this map of the Interlaken area to show potential task sites.

The red pins show sites that http://www.twinparagliding.com use for paragliding. Most interesting is that there is a location near Mürren - but the James Bond location near Schilthorn would be really interesting.
I also highlighted  the "Outdoor Museum" in Ballenberg - which is a possibility for the cheese tasks. They do cheese making demonstrations using heritage methods...

All the sites seem to be within a 30 minute drive of Interlaken.

NVM - paragliding is in Gemany...  :-[

I think that picture of the Munoz brothers is coming OUT of the north protal of the Gotthard Tunnel, on the way from Locarno to Interlaken at Goschenen.

If it was going into the tunnel on the way to Locarno, I would think they would be looking the other way and their hair would be blowing opposite to what it is, in that pic. The only reason to be coming OUT of that tunnel is to get to Interlaken. Ialso found pics of Swiss trains that were that color. A sort of dark green with the Swiss flag on them. The pic was taken in that station, Goschenen. The pic had about 6 different kinds of trains the Swiss use. I thought I saved the URL for the pic, but I dont see it. I will try to find it today.

The Gotthard Tunnel route is longer but faster trains to Interlaken. The train from Locarno to Domodossola is slow and a narrow gauge train. Once in Domodessola, they could get the fast trains to Interlaken. The narrow gauge train takes 2 hours to go about 80 miles.

I read some blog posts by people that took that trip from Locarno to Domodossola and they referred to that train as a "toy train."

oooh pretty map! Now where did I read about how to embed one here? I'll look in a minute!

But what am I missing about the paragliding? Why would twinparagliding be using a chute from another company? Sorry, I am feeling dense about this. If the chute says this other company, isn't it reasonable to think they were involved? Which continues the question of paragliding being in Austria or Obermaiselstein, right?

If I have missed something, please tell me...I'm all bewildered and perplexed,

The website says the paragliding "experience" can be up to 60 minutes long - depending on where you start from and thermal conditions. If they only had one parasail that could mean only one racer an hour - then they would have to drive the parasail back up to the launch point. They probably borrowed parasails from another company so they could - in theory - have all the racers in the air at once.

The ride from Beatenburg description says, "Afterwards you will land in the cosy centre of Interlaken, which is located at 1,700 ft above sea level."
Flying time from Beatenburg without/with thermals - ca. 15 Min. up to 30 Min.

DrRox:

If you have snow on the streets of Interlaken, wouldn't it be safe to assume that the alpine meadows around Interlaken, where they paraglide would be covered in snow too?
