Best Picture (as I predicted): Slumdog Millionaire.

8 Oscars for Slumdog Millionaire.

RealityFreakWill:
The Oscar telecast was different tonight. I kind of liked how they presented the acting categories by having five former winners come on stage and each one gets to highlight one nominee's performance rather than showing a clip from the film. That was interesting.

Another thing I like was less number of presenters and having the ones who did present more than one award, for example, Will Smith handed out oscars in four categories, one right after the other...

The network's goal was to have the show done at 3 hours but they didn't achieve it, due to some long acceptance speeches and it ended just under the 3 1/2 hour mark which is the norm of that show anyway. I forget which year it was but one year it was 4 1/2 hours.....way too long!

Hugh Jackman did a good job and I thought overall, the show was very good!
