The final three models compete for the title of America's Next Top Model in the 12th season finale. After they shoot their CoverGirl commercial, two are chosen to walk — and crawl — down the final runway.
The episode opens with Aminat, Allison and Teyona getting "Tyra Mail" and scripts for the CoverGirl commercial. They meet up with Jay, who tells them they won't just just be in the commercial, but in a print ad as well. The winner will get to be in a national ad featured in Wal-Mart stores across the country. McKey introduces the girls to the product they'll be pushing — and she's clearly still as awkward on camera as she was last season.
Aminat looks almost Botoxed, as she's unable to show any facial expression during the shoot. Allison looks amazing, but forgets her script. Teyona's nerves get the best of her and she fumbles. She basically hits a wall and starts to break down and cry. Somehow she rallies for her next take and photo shoot, but she beats herself up later that night.
They head to the panel to decide which two will walk in a Rosa Cha fashion show. Teyona's commercial is first and it's fumble after fumble. Cue the water works. The judges seem sympathetic — especially Paulina. Teyona's photo comes out amazing and Tyra says it's the "epitome of smiling with her eyes." Next is Allison, who gets an "it's OK" from the judges. Her shoot comes out great as well. Aminat is last and the judges really like her commercial. Her film, however, is lacking — again she needs to get control of her facial muscles. Allison is the first finalist selected. It's down to two. There's Aminat, whose commercial is great but who can't show a facial expression in photos to save her life. Then there's Teyona, who bombed the commercial but takes a pretty hot picture. Teyona is the one who stays. The two remaining models head off to pose for their Seventeen cover shoot.
Allison and Teyona get made up for the runway walk and are told they have to do the Brazilian stomp down the runway. The first walk is nothing out of the ordinary — they just have to be as fierce as possible while wearing what look like tiny clown hats and feathers. For their next walk, they need to step it up into a dance-like walk while wearing huge headdresses. Their final walk is definitely something you don't see everyday: Both girls, and several other male and female models, are covered in black grease and crawl and writhe down the runway together. It looks kind of like a mud- and grease-soaked orgy. Teyona's weave falls off and she twirls it in the air like a stripper. Hot.
The time comes for the final decision and the girls arrive to panel in their designer bikinis. The judges are surprised by how well Allison walked. They thought Teyona was amazing as well, even though she seemed robotic at times. The judges go through past photo shoots to compare both models' past performances. Both have some amazing and not-so-amazing pictures, and the critique is pretty even. The judges go back-and-forth over who should win. It's going to be close.
So who wins Season 12? Teyona. Allison leaves, taking her loss really well, and Teyona heads out for her winner's shoot with Tyra.

Fired! Paulina Porizkova is out! (I liked her, too bad!)
Paulina Porizkova Fired from America's Next Top Model
Tuesday, May 12, 2009
Looks like tomorrow's finale won't just be Allison, Aminat, and Teyona's last time on America's Next Top Model, the finale will also be judge Paulina Porizkova's last ANTM appearance. During an apperance on tonight's Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Paulina says she was let go by Tyra Banks and America's Next Top Model.
When Craig Ferguson asked Paulina how it was working with Tyra Banks, Paulina broke the shocking news. "Listen, do you know why I am in Los Angeles...because I am looking for a job. Because I was fired by America's Next Top Model on my birthday." A birthday firing? Ouch!
Don't Miss
A quick wikipedia check reveals that Paulina's birthday was April 9th, so the supermodel stunner was fired just over a month ago. It sounds like no love is lost between Paulina and her now former employer, "The reason I was told I was fired was because, it seemed that America's Next Top Model has gotten too fat and they needed to cut some fat and the fat was me." Double meow! Telling a former model you're firing her to cut the fat on her birthday? Paulina must have done something serious to piss off the Goddess of Fierce. Paulina later said she figured the other reason she was fired was, "My gigantic huge ego. Which I wasn't aware of until I was told by the producers that I have an ego problem." Sounds like it was not a pleasant ending for either party.
Paulina joined America's Next Top Model as a judge during Cycle 10 as a replacement for Twiggy. Twiggy, of course, replaced the original Supermodel judge Janice Dickinson. Since joining the cast, Paulina has had more interaction with the contestants than any other judge. She's mentored the girls on several challenges this Cycle including the acting teach with Clay Aiken and last week's samba challenge. Though Paulina lacked the enjoyable evilness of Janice Dickinson and the blunt, but cheery sounding honesty of Twiggy; she has become an integral part of judge's panel and the show itself. This cycle Paulina has picked up her personality and harshened her criticisms, which has garnered her more screen time than ever; while simultaneously decreasing her popularity among fans.
The real question now on every ANTM fan's lips is, who will replace Paulina? If it really was about ANTM cutting fat, it's conceivable that no one would replace Paulina and the panel would shrink to four judges. On the other hand, if Paulina's firing was about personality, which an over-the-phone birthday firing certainly alludes to Tyra and Co. could be looking for a new supermodel personality to fill the open spot. No matter how much we beg, we're pretty sure Tyra won't be bring Janice back, so which model do you think would make a good ANTM judge? Maggie Rizer has done great work as a guest judge on Make Me A Supermodel, maybe she'd be interested in the job. If Tyra didn't want another model stealing her spotlight, now would be the perfect time to bring Mister Jay on to the judge's panel.
