A Blog From Cheryl Burke:

To my dear family, fans and friends,

Last Monday evening was one of the most powerful moments for me as I watched Gilles acknowledge the extended standing ovation of the audience, basking in the glory of a perfect performance, with deep emotions in his eyes. It was a snapshot to remember.

Our Argentine Tango story was of a passionate couple, who quarrels, parts and makes up, creating a romantic, trance-like movement of two bodies in love becoming one heart, one mind, one soul. Gilles went into character and executed the drama in the dance floor flawlessly. He is such a talented and committed actor.

On Monday, April 6th, Gilles and I will dance the Paso Doble. The movements of the Paso Doble are designed around those made by the matador as he gracefully works his way around the bull and eventually slays it. The emotion of the dance is powerful, intoxicating and intense. It requires fierce drama and captive energy, as well as composure and stealth. Get ready to tune in and vote because the first few seconds of the dance is really something worth watching for.

Your show of love and affection is overwhelming. Gilles joins me in thanking you from the bottom of our hearts.

With love always,

Cheryl

P.S.

To vote for Gilles and me, call 800-868-3405 or log on to www.abc.com. Phone lines, text votes (AT&T customers only) and online polls will open at the top of each performance show. Phone and text lines will stay open for 30 minutes after the end of the show. Online voting will remain open until noon (Eastern Time)/9:00am (Pacific Time) on the day of the results show.

Carmen Electra to appear on April 14 Dancing With the Stars

She already proved her dance floor daring as a guest star in the Pussycat Dolls burlesque troupe, and now Carmen Electra will strut her stuff on Dancing With the Stars. The brunette beauty is scheduled to perform with her group, Cherry Boom Boom, live on the April 14 episode of the hit ABC dance competition. “I’m very excited! I love to dance, and it’s so much fun,” Carmen told In Touch at the Vitaminwater10 launch in New York on April 2. Carmen has been slower to set another date — for her wedding to her fiancé, guitarist Rob Patterson. “It takes so much of your time," Carmen confided. "But we’re in a good place right now!”

Gilles Marini Says Wife Loves His Sexy Dancing

Dancing with the Stars heartthrob and front-runner Gilles Marini says his steamy moves on the show aren’t a problem for his wife, Carole—in fact, “she loves to see that sexiness.”

The French actor/model, who made a splash last year as Samantha’s outdoor-showering neighbor in the Sex and the City movie, says he wouldn’t be able to perform his high-energy dance routines without his wife’s support.

“Imagine if you do that job and you have a wife in the house or a husband in the house who is very kind of jealous and possessive, things would collapse,” he said in an interview with the website jenandbarbmomlife.com. “If I don’t have my wife at my side I have nothing. And so she is there pushing me and always kissing me and saying, ‘I am so proud of you.’”

Marini, 33, has been married to Carole for 11 years—they have a son, George, 10, and a daughter, Julianna, almost three. When Marini got the call to do DWTS early one morning, he was in bed watching Julianna bounce around in a pink tutu. “I’m on the phone with my manager, who’s asking, ‘Do you want to do this?’” he recalls. “And [Julianna] was dancing around, twirling around, and I said, ‘This is a sign, I have to do this.’”

But week in and week out, how is it that his wife can be so accepting of his smoldering routines with partner Cheryl Burke? “She’s French,” explains Marini. “The more sexy it is [on the show] the better it is for her. Tonight she told me, ‘I saw that shaking booty stuff, you’re going to have to show it to me [at home].”

In the second Macy's Stars of Dance performance of the season, the mesmerizing Las Vegas show Le Reve transforms the "Dancing with the Stars" stage with a captivating performance.  Le Reve features spectacular feats of strength and state-of-the-art special effects.  The production was created by Franco Dragone, the man behind the O, La Nouba, Mystere, Alegria and Quidam shows.

This week the bottom two couples facing elimination, determined by the lowest combined viewer votes and judges' scores from Monday's performance, will "Dance Off" to determine who is dismissed. The couples will have a chance to perform Monday's dance for new scores from the judges. The judges' scores from the "Dance Off" performance will replace their Monday night scores. A combination of the new judges' scores from the "Dance Off" dance, along with viewers votes from Monday's show, will be calculated following the "Dance Off" to determine the eliminated couple.

By evening's end one couple will be eliminated. Who among the following nine teams will leave the ballroom floor?
