--- Quote from: apskip on October 16, 2008, 09:28:42 AM ---That scene hits different people in different ways. I don't think Brooke was actually scared, as she laughed in a high-pitched voice. I think she was startled. Maori warriors with all of their markings (like tattoos) on their bodies do look totally fierce, but Halloween was still 6 months away(Halloween is celebrated in New Zealand on Gut Fawkes Day Nov. 5).

Halloween is not celebrated on Guy Fawkes day here (NZ) - Guy Fawkes day is about fireworks, not trick-or-treating.
A small minority of the population celebrate halloween on the same day the Americans do, but it is generally viewed as an over-commercialised event which is a reflection of bad American customs.
Guy Fawkes day is a "celebration" of this person: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_fawkes It is not so much a celebration, but more an excuse to set off fireworks.

Randomizer, well somebody in New Zealand thinks Halloween in New Zealand is celebrated on Guy Fawkes Day:
Halloween Traditions
Halloween from Around the World
Halloween in New Zealand
In New Zealand they celebrate Guy Fawkes Day as the day for Halloween. It is popularly a night for mischief and is called Mischief Night or Danger Night, which is on November 5th.

Zack.:
I bet Ken/Tina take the FF. We know that someone's way behind in leaving NZ and that Aja/Ty were most likely in last place in Cambodia - I'd venture to say that they go for the FF because of their flat tire but get aced out by K/T, losing some time in the process (but not enough to get eliminated? someone else must have messed up bad for that to happen).

It was confirmed from very reliable industry sources, TAR was definitely in New Zealand (Auckland and Middle-North Island) - from April 31 to May 2 or 3. A race spoiler I got was that at least one team missed a bus or similar and arrived at a challenge a day behind other teams (well, the following morning anyhow) - I hear this because the local crew hired to do the POV pickup shots had to revisit the location that morning to get matched lighting conditions.
I do believe that they were on schedule in NZ (so based on the request for drivers, that was April 30th (NZST) to May 2nd, however I expect that at least part of the production crew arrived earlier
The word I heard from my source was that a team 'missed the bus' and didn't arrive somewhere (I got the impression is was a cluebox) until the morning after other teams (although no word on what time of day the other teams got there the previous day).

What if a team missed a flight? Could that put them a day behind? Could that happen? Has anyone mentioned how different the lighting is when the blonds are there?
(yes I'll go read the flights apskips  )
hey peach! the thumbnail codes work now :yess:
