TARAsia Fan:
You mentioned one reason why the NFL put the late games at 4:15 p.m. The other was that home markets would be taken away from the early game thus missing the end of the first game even if it was at a suspenseful end.

So the NFL decided to space the late games until 4:15 p.m. The ratings and ad revenue power for the NFL allow the league to schedule the late games when they want and because the networks want the eyeballs to set their primetime lineups, they comply. I'm hearing that the NFL is even thinking about starting the late games at 4:30 p.m. in the next TV contract.

If true they should rethink their schedule! Like make 60 Minutes "30 minutes". Yeah! that's the ticket!
:hides But should be grateful for whatever we get, as long as there is more TAR that is.

TARAsia Fan:
60 Minutes makes a lot of money for CBS. They'll never cut that from the schedule.

apskip:
The CBS late games today are Jackonville vs. Tennessee and Pittsburgh vs. San Diego. The split of coverage is Jacksonville vs. Tennesee from Indianapolis down to south Florida and west to Texas except for the large area around Dallas, two small circles in western and eastern North Carolina, Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle, central Minnesota and northwest Nevada. The whole rest of the country gets Pittsburgh vs. San Diego.

apskip:
The Pittsburgh/San Diego football game is at the half after a 90 minute first half. My best guess on 60 Minutes start time right now is 720pm.
