PLAZA SPAIN. MONUMENTO EN HOMENAJE AL “CORREGIDOR PERPÉTUO DE LA PAZ, DON MIGUEL DE CERVANTES SAAVEDRA”. Don Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, el insigne autor de “El Quijote”, pidió al Rey de España en 21 de mayo de 1590, le fuera concedido el cargo de “Corregidor de la Ciudad de La Paz en Bolívia”. Sin embargo, “el 6 de junio de 1590, el Consejo de Indias, mediante su relator el Dr. MONUMENT IN TRIBUTE TO "CORREGIDOR OF PERPETUAL PEACE, Don Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra." Don Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, the distinguished author of "Don Quixote", asked the King of Spain on May 21 of 1590, he was awarded the post of "Corregidor in the city of La Paz in Bolivia." However, "on June 6, 1590, the Council of Indians, through its rapporteur Dr. Nuñez Morquecho, negó la solicitud del glorioso soldado privándolo del justo premio de acceder a este honorable cargo. Nuñez Morquecho, denied the request of the glorious soldier deprived of a fair prize to access this honorable post.

Michael, I basicallly agree with you. It looks like mid-afternoon to me and on April 27, sunrise was at 644am and sunset was 617pm. With the shadows of a mid-afternoon sun that was in the southwest, I am going to take a guess at direction and say that they are walking in the direction of northeast.

EDITOR's NOTE - I have fogotten that in the fall the sun in the Southern Hemisphere should move from northeast to northwest. In mid afternoon, that would make the shadows be in the direction of southeast.
