TARAsia Fan:
OMG!!! I'm finally finished. I need to sleep.

Enjoy.

TARA3. Ep. 2 recap

Three people get it this week. I think you can determine who gets my wrath.

georgiapeach:
Absolutely worth the wait, Ken!! :) I love the amount of detail you include.

A looong leg for the racers and for recappers, huh?

Geoff just seems like a jerk...but let's hope for some redeeming behavior from Mai and Natalie! Or not...Flo/Mai/little Princess may be fun to watch!

bangun:
I actually like geoff& Tisha in the way that they are entertaining. I mean, walking around blowing a whistle and thinking that would actually help getting people to help you. Please.

I don't think the beauty queens behaviour is ouf of bad will, they just never backpacked before and it's their job to look pretty, so I can understand why she'd say that being filthy is the worst form of being. Obviously cocky, but understandable from her point of view.

Episode 2 also made clear why it's the "hardest race" ever. Not because its legs are long, but because the producers put pointless challenges in, the only aim being to hurt the candidates, i.e. the paintball challenge. They could've at least supplied the racers with paintguns themselves so that they'd could fight back and make that a challenge (Contestants must shoot at least 1 enemy before receiving their clue).

It somehow sounded a bit strange to me that many teams were complaining about lack of sleep and the leg going on for so long. It was only going so long because they either spent the night at the airport or spent the night waiting for the flowershop to open. Waiting for such things is common and has basically happened in just about every season (otherwise known as bunching). While I agree that sleeping in the airport might not do for refreshment as much as sleeping in a hotel, I have a hard time determining from the episode where the "30 hours without sleep" come from. Not saying it's a walk in the park, but I'm fairly sure with tighter editing they easily could've squeezed the leg in the usual 45mins (but then, they needed to show all teams playing a mobile phone game for a prolonged period of time for obvious reasons, so maybe not).

georgiapeach:
:welcome2: to RFF bangum! Glad you found us!

I'm loving the more difficult itinerary this time--hope TAR 13 is paying attention! I get tired of airports and love it when they have to take a train/bus/ferry..or better yet the "make your way to" clues and let them figure it out!

TARAsia Fan:
Hi bangun. Welcome to RFF. Glad you're reading my recap.

What's great is that everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. Last year, I killed Mutt & Revolting and got a lot of hate mail, which I actually enjoyed.

I would not call the paintball task pointless. But I do think the producers are trying to knock the competitors down a peg. I'm totally enjoying this season to date. By the second leg last season, I was tired of M&R's act.
