I rewound. What I heard over and over again.
NO! I will NOT give you the money. You do what you have to do Memphis, but I cannot give you that money. It's for my grand kids. Jerry was hardcore. He was emphatic! Memphis was saying, I need collateral, I need to know that you won't go back on your word. Jerry said I've never gone back on my word. Memphis tried to say he had but this was a bomb for Memphis.
Jerry swore on his family that he would NOT break his word to Memphis. He repeated it again. I just swore on my FAMILY that I WILL NOT GO BACK on my word. Once I go out that door, the money is gone. That's what they told me.
