Jerry's parents deserted him when he was 9--he lived with his GP's, he was homeless at 16

Jerry and his brother were deserted by their parents when they were young.  Jerry's brother went into the airforce at 17 and he went into the Marines at 16.  He lived with his grandparents.  Jerry's mom ran off with another guy and his father was in CT and sent him and his brother to his grandparents.
