When the media was in the house, tvguide etc .. there were 8 HG's and 8 frames and I think that was filmed after the house tour. So the 14 are probably just standard, I guess.

Yeah it did.  I can't remember which season exactly this happened, but the number of chairs in the dining room didn't match the number of frames on the memory wall, or something to that degree.
