They don't need the mole.  They are sabotaging themselves by not communicating.

They've gotten 3 out of 5 items (a musket, a goat, and a Bible - they missed a box of tobacco and a copper tea pot) for an additional $15,000. (total=$35,000)

Nicole gets to stay on Exile Island (the beach) and, I'm assuming, miss the quiz.
