The Amazing Race Asia 3 Spoilers/Speculation
Chateau d If:
I'd say it is a tunnel shot.
Although this one is not a match, it gives an idea of how the tunnels look. (from Peach's link)
This one could be it: Xueshan-tunnel (another Peach link)
apskip:
apskip said that the arrival times for Taipei were 1510, 1730, and 2100. It takes one hour approximately for the camera/sound team to clear customs and ready to be on their way. Sunset in Taipei for May 26 was 636pm, so dark would be about 730pm. apskip says that for the teams on the second flight arrival time it was dark when they reached somewhere distant from the airport where the tunnels are. On the third arrival it was dark long before their arrival. Only the arrivals at the first arrival time above had a chance at getting through that tunnel in daylight.

You and Neobie are smart, the tunnel looks good Chateau :)
georgiapeach:
THank you Chateau! I couldn't choose. I agree the sides, double white line all look good.
Okay, from the tunnel links upstream:
this one
--- Quote ---is the longest tunnel in Taiwan, located on the Taipei-Yilan Freeway (Taiwan National Highway No. 5). The western entrance is located at 24.9386° N 121.715° E. The eastern entrance is at 24.8478° N 121.791° E. It is through the Hsuehshan Mountain Range. The road connects the city of Taipei to the northeastern county of Yilan (Ilan), cutting down the journey time from two hours to just half an hour. One of the key aims of constructing the tunnel was to connect the western coast of Taiwan, where 95% of the population live, to the eastern coast of the island and in doing so tackle the unbalanced development on the island.
--- End quote ---
So any ideas why they would want to go there? (Ilan)
Thanks for the time info apskip!
Would they go thru this coming from the airport?? Or do we need to keep looking at all the tunnels? ???

Peach, your tunnel certainly is not between the airport and Taipei City. When do they arrive in Taiwan? is it at night?
