Chateau, we have a serious conflict on timing if you are correct on the start line. Teams were sighted on Khao San Road in Bangkok around 2pm on May 20. If the race hasn't started yet, how is that possible? The only explanation I can offer is that the race may have started after 6pm on May 19, as I trust your time range estimates.

Chateau d If:
May 20?
May19?

My shadow analysis would never be able to distinguish them.  But that start was def at the end of the day.  See  the long shadows.  The host is standing in a wide open area yet he is in shade.  Is  TARA so unlike TAR?  Do they start and do tasks in the same city?  Would they have them start and then have them bed down for night?

I'll have to see those Khao San Road shots and see if I can get a time from them.  Anybody have a link?

--- Quote ---I managed to get a couple pictures until they told me not to.  I cant remember the exact day but around the 20th or 21st I'd say. I saw them eating scorpions and some other sort of bug and puking them up. There were 2 asian teams I think. Also one girl threw up and another contestant said "Miss India Everyone!" I heard them reading a clue and it was in English. There was a father and son I believe who looked east indian. Everyone I heard talk sounded like they had American accents.

ask me anymore questions i'll try to help. expect the pictures in a few days

What else would we like to know? ???

Thanks Chateau.
In that case, all of these stuffs are just one episode.
Sunset is around 6:39PM.

After the bug eating task, they go to this clue box and grab a yellow bag.

Do a matching item task and grab a bus ticket.

Take a bus to Chiang Mai. It's about 8-9 hours by bus from Bangkok.

The detour is to mow the lawn or off-road racing.
The Roadblock is a mystery.

Pitstop is in the Royal Flora Garden.

Voila.  :wohoo:

The link provided by puddin above is titled 19 May. Also, this blog does not have any reference to what time of day photographer Andrew Russell ran into the Amazing Race Asia in the Khao San Road area. It could be any hour of the day, but I will be interested to see what Chateau's analysis of the ARA picture shows.

The blog states that one of the days he is in Bangkok is a holiday. The only possible holiday that could be was Visakabucha day, which happens on a Sunday and the following Monday is also a public holiday. The applicable Sunday would be May 18 and Monday would be May 19. I was hoping that this would be conclusive on what date the start of the race would, but obviously it isn't.
