To the best of our knowledge, both the Cape Town bathing huts and the resort in Muscat are new. And I don't ever remember in TAR or TARA them giving us NEW screencaps that we never see. We do see OLD ones reused to confuse us, and that's part of the fun.

Did you see what looks like a man racing on a horse in the intro? I don't recall horses being used in the past seasons of TARA. In this season perhaps?

This season must go to another continent.
Season 1 went to Oceania (Australia and New Zealand)
Season 2 went to Oceania (New Zealand), Europe (Germany, Czech Republic and Hungary) and Oceania (New Zealand) and Africa (South Africa)
Season 3 has stayed within Southeast Asia for the first Three Legs, East Asia in the next Four (and half of the 8th leg) legs and in South Asia for half of the 8th leg and the 9th leg.
Although it is not a written rule, since Amazing Race 8: Family Edition and The Amazing Race:
A Corrida Milionária both stayed in just one continent in the duration of the race (North America for the former and South America for the latter) the speculation of possibly going to East Africa is a sound one, unless they are really making an All-Asia season.
