The Amazing Race Asia 3 Spoilers/Speculation

Slowhatch:
It does resemble an S-76 (source page), but I agree with Apskip. There must be some angle we're missing: the cost-benefit ratio (of saving only 30 min.) is way out of whack. And do they even have that much money (about 284 USD/2,200 HK)?

Boingo:
 Did y'all miss this Macau to HK Airport direct helicopter service?  Wonder if it's still operating in 2008?  Private operators?   :duno:

I looked every where I could Boingo, and could not find helicopters going directly, and found some Trip forums saying specifically it could not be done.

I would love to find one though, it would explain SOO much! Let me know if you can link to a service!

Boingo:
  Macau appears to be a mystery wrapped in an enigma....

Because I was bored, I got a better image of the helicopter preview.  Notice that the bottom of the craft in the vidcap is dark colored, NOT like the Heliexpress paint scheme.

However, I did match it to another pix of a helicopter in Macau, namely the Grand Lisboa Casino helicopter (paintscheme)..... BUT it is operated by Heliexpress. (which just happens to be owned by casino king Stanley Ho) :funny:  Round and round we go...   :'(

Here's one for you, given that the first thing they do when leaving Macau is to go back to the Macau Tower, they would be close to both the ferry terminal and Stanley Ho's Grand lisboa Casino.  Ya think one pair of racers is daring enough to book a direct helicopter flight to HK airport from Macau ($$$) instead of using the direct ferry?  That would be daring.  :duno:

georgiapeach:
Or better yet, talk their way into a free ride??   :wohoo:

Nice work Boingo!!
