Here's my long, Christmas-y wishlist for a nicer TAR Canada route:
Leg 1 (Canada --> Bahamas) / Toronto [Leslie Street Spit] to Nassau
ROADBLOCK IDEA at Paradise Island Lagoon: paddle using your hands on a life preserver to the bridge where you must attach rappel devices onto your waist and rappel yourself up to get your clue on the arch and rappel back down onto your lifebuoy and row to the starting point of the RB. Anytime you fall off, you must swim back to the side you were previously on.
Leg 2 (Bahamas --> Cuba) / to Havana
ROADBLOCK IDEA at Plaza de la Revolucion: Graffiti art RB
Leg 3 (Cuba --> Italy) / to Rome
ROUTE INFO IDEA at Ara Pacis: (When in Rome...
) Transport 100 small plaster tiles using a stallion-drawn mini-cart through the crazy streets of Rome up the Spanish Steps to receive your next clue.
ROADBLOCK IDEA at Spanish Steps: Using the plaster tiles from the previous task, one team member has to complete a ground mosaic by using the tiles like puzzle pieces. Any tiles missing will need to be brought to the Roadblock location on foot by going back to Ara Pacis and collecting the tiles needed to complete the mosaic. Once approved, teams will get their clue.
Leg 4 (Italy) / train to Gaiole in Chianti, Tuscany for vineyard tasks and Barbischio castle wedding reception setup task
Leg 5 (Italy --> Hungary) / to Budapest and Viségrad
ROUTE INFO IDEA: Teams must bid for their next clue at an auctionhouse against other teams and local "bidders".
Leg 6 (Hungary --> Slovakia) / train to Kosiçe and famous ice caves as the Pit Stop
Leg 7 (Slovakia --> Qatar) / to Doha [SUPERLEG ANYONE?
]
DETOUR IDEA at Dhow Harbour: [Stack It or Make It] "Stack It" had teams direct a dhow driver to the nearby flour factory and stack 100 flour bags onto the dhow (which can slow the dhow down) and trasnport them to a shoreside shack on the northwest coastline to receive their clue. In Make It, teams had to direct their dhow driver to an island where teams must complete mending 5 "oil" umbrellas by painting them a crude oil color. After painting, they must transport the umbrellas to a nearby enrichment centre to get their next clue.
Leg 8 (Qatar --> China) / to Lhasa, Tibet Region with numerous yak agriculture tasks in villages
Leg 9 (China) / to Beijing
... just for a "pin"ful acupuncture session
and then bus to Harbin for ice sculpture task
DETOUR IDEA at a local bakery: [Fold or Deliver] "Fold" made teams properly create 100 zongzis (25 each filled with either pork, chicken, bean paste, or Chinese five sauce) to get their clue. In Deliver, teams must deliver take-out boxes to 3 different addresses (all written in Mandarin Chinese) by riding basket-storage bikes. After delivering them and returning to the bakery, teams need to have receipts for proof of delivery to get their clue.
Leg 10 (China --> United States) / to San Francisco and Alcatraz Island
ROADBLOCK IDEA on Alcatraz Island: Team members must figure out the three cells Al Capone stayed in using the cell # history hidden somewhere in the jail cells in a mysterious diary. They must go to the lighthouse and open a safe by dialing the last number of each cell number in chronological order by year. Once unlocking the safe, the next clue will be revealed.
ROUTE INFO IDEA at Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory: Eat through as many fortune cookies for a fortune containing the information of the next Pit Stop.
Leg 11 FINAL LEG (United States --> Canada) / to Calgary, Alberta and Banff National Park as Finish Line.
