I think Houston should definitely be on WRP's final destination list!
It is the 4th largest city in the USA and has never hosted part of a race
Not only is it a huge city full of possible challenges, the race could also venture out to Trinity Bay :conf:
IAH (George Bush Intercontinental Airport) is a huge hub and racers could fly in directly from Europe or Central/South America
I think Houston needs to host a final leg, and the Bayou Bend Mansion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayou_Bend_Collection_and_Gardens) would be the perfect Finish Line :hrt:
The mansion is accessible through two ways I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) and could easily be closed off for a finish line. It's also secluded so no one could peek through and watch
If teams taxi's took them down Memorial Drive and turned off at Westcott Street to the garden's carpark, teams would have to run across the bridge and through the gorgeous gardens to get to a photo finish ending :wohoo:
*Note: the Finish Line would be at the back of the mansion, like TAR19 finish line at Swan House :)
Who's with me for Houston! :hoot:

--- Quote from: supah3ro on March 16, 2012, 07:31:55 AM ---If I made a wishlist I could go on and on and on. Instead I wanted to put my bets on where TAR21 will visit. If something is in CAPITALS it means the countries I have listed under it are the ones i think TAR21 will visit IF they go to that continent/area.
CENTRAL AMERICA
I thought the penultimate Panama Leg in TAR19 was great, I'm hoping a Central American Leg for TAR21, but I'm still not sure
- my best bets are Belize, Guatemala and Costa Rica
SOUTH AMERICA
After three Legs in TAR20. I'm sadly going to rule out South America for TAR21 :(
EUROPE
- the unvisited countries I think might be visited are Latvia, Malta and Cyprus
- the Mediterranean countries, the ones I am thinking of are Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey
- Yugoslavia, my bets are Slovenia, Bosnia, Croatia, Albania and Serbia
- overdue-due-for-another-visit countries, I think are Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, Finland
AFRICA
I still have not decided yet. But I absolutely LOVE the race in Africa.
- my best bets are Benin, Gabon and Uganda
MIDDLE EAST
- sadly, I only have one bet, and that is Qatar
ASIA
- for unvisited countries I'm thinking Nepal, Laos and Burma
- at least one leg in a large Asian city
OCEANIA
- my strongest feeling is New Zealand, which I think will be visited TAR21 or the one after that
- Phil has stated that he wants the race to go to the Pacific Islands, so I'm going to place bets for Fiji, Tahiti and Samoa
If TAR21 goes to EUROPE first, then I think we will have an east coast start. If New Zealand is the first stop then we will have a west coast start. I am confident either Europe or New Zealand will be the first stop. As for the final destination city, it will be on the west coast or in Texas.
Please share your thoughts on my ideas, I like opinions regardless if they are positive or negative :)

sounds great i also think that Spain should be visit again, specially Madrid!!
Glamazon Racer:
I don't think I've actually created a whole route on this thread before (maybe I have  ) but here I go:
Leg 1: Anywhere in USA Other Than LA -> Guatemala City, Guatemala (they leave the city, though)
Leg 2: Guatemala City, Guatemala -> Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago
Leg 3: Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago -> Durban, South Africa
Leg 4: Durban, South Africa -> Luanda, Angola
Leg 5: Luanda, Angola -> Yaounde, Cameroon
Leg 6: Yaounde, Cameroon -> Malabo, Equatorial Guinea
Leg 7: Malabo, Equatorial Guinea -> Banjul, Gambia
Leg 8: Banjul, Gambia -> Anywhere, Spain
Leg 9: Anywhere, Spain -> Birmingham, England
Leg 10: Birmingham, England -> Yerevan, Armenia
Leg 11: Yerevan, Armenia -> Vientiane, Laos
Leg 12: Vientiane, Laos -> Western USA (Not LA)
I know it's probably an extremely infeasible route, but it'd be a lot of fun. I cut back on Asia on my route, because I feel that recent seasons of TAR (13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19) have spent WAAAAY too much time in Asia compared to other continents. I spent a lot of time in Africa because I absolutely love Africa, and TAR does not spend enough time there at all. I tossed in a couple of legs in Central America at the beginning, as we don't spend enough time there either.

I want this for AR 21 :yess:
1. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA to ?, Scotland (where ever they need to fly to to go to Loch Ness) (11-10)
2. ? to Edinburg (10-9)
3. Edinburg to Burgen, Norway (W-Turn, 9-8)
4. Burgen to Madrid, Spain (8-7)
5. Madrid to Monte Carlo, Monaco (7, NE Leg)
6. Monte Carlo to Fes, Morocco (7-6)
7. Fes to Nairobi, Kenya (6, No Break Leg)
8. Kenya (all over it) (W-Turn, 6-5)
9. ?, Kenya to ?, China (5-4)
10. ? to Kathmandu, Nepal (4, NE leg)
11. Kathmandu to Vientiane, Laos (4-3)
12. Vientiane to Salt Lake City, Utah, USA (3-1)
10 Countries (3 new, 4 if you count Kenya). I dont think they will go to oceania in AR 21 because it will be winter in the southern hemisphere during that time.
