Sofia is such a pristine city!! I found it beautiful but I visited a long time ago. They should really visit Bulgaria soon!

Leg 1: Los Angeles, USA to Osaka/Nara, Japan (EL- 12th place)
Leg 2: Osaka, Japan to Phnom Penh, Cambodia (EL- 11th place)
Leg 3: Phnom Penh, Cambodia to Tasmania, Australia (EL- 10th place)
Leg 4: Tasmania to Melbourne, Australia (EL- 9th place)
Leg 5: Melbourne, Australia to Easter Island, Chile (W-turn; EL- 8th place)

I agree, but TAR will most likely not visit Ukraine any time soon, the last time they visited Ukraine Phil got detained. Ukraine is also at a 2, so I think they might not want to risk going there.

Damn, actually, an eastward route with NA > Europe > Africa > Asia (> Oceania) > SA > NA would be really cool. Has there ever actually been an eastward route with an SA penultimate leg?
