Change Norway to Finland and Sweden respectively for two separate legs. Sweden did not have a proper visit since season 17, and Finland never had a full leg and a Pit Stop since season 10.

--- Quote from: kaedav on June 01, 2017, 05:09:45 AM ---Here's my FINAL route:

Start:Some Place near LA
Leg-1 Suva, Fiji
Leg-2 Melbourne Australia
Leg-3 Hobart, Australia
Leg-4 Nagoya, Japan
Leg-5 Siem Reap, Cambodia
Leg-6 Cape Town, South Africa
Leg-7 Port Eliabeth, South Africa
Leg-8 Bergen, Norway & Torshavn, Faroe Islands, Denmark
Leg-9 Reykjavik, Iceland
Leg-10 Brussels, Belgium
Leg-11 Nassau, Bahamas
Leg-12 Orlando, United States

--- End quote ---

The huge problem is USA and Fiji that the flights between LA and Nadi are only a single night flight. Australia would be a better for a first leg in Melbourne with two pre-determined flights (a tradition has used at the start of every race). See my post at page 153 with map. Another huge reason Fiji is already booked for two seasons of Survivor that rule out a crossover appearance of two reality show seasons.

There's only 1 place being visited in Bergen!!! I chose Bergen because there is a direct flight to Torshavn! And I will just change Fiji to Leg-3 and australia Leg-1 & 2

kaedav:
I could have one set of teams fly to nadi then suva and the other set fly to Sydney or Auckland then Suva.

kaedav:
ORRR

I can have 1 flight to Nadi, then 2 buses to Suva

Zack.:
A US to Fiji first leg is actually pretty viable provided you aren't starting in LA; as long as you can easily connect to LAX to SFO, you can separate teams on either FJ 871 or FJ 811 which is separated by like...40-50 minutes depending on the time of year :)

Somewhat related to the above, I feel like, especially with the westward starts from LA which tend to leave in the middle of the night, there could easily be a Detour or RB in the starting city; that would certainly be a more organic way of determining who gets on the first flight(s).
