Here is my fantasy race beginning:

The race begins somewhere in New York City.  The first clue advises the racers of the three flights that may be taken, and even when the flights are scheduled to land.  The catch is that each of the flights takes off from a different airport: Newark, LaGuardia and JFK.

The logistics of such a beginning likelly ensure that it will forever remain a fantasy.

Cusco, Peru to Melbourne, Australia(Connections through Lima and Sydney)
Melbourne, Australia to Hobart, Tasmania

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia- Bangkok, Thailand
Bangkok, Thailand-Athens, Greece (Via Istanbul)

Sarajevo-Vienna, Austria
Vienna, Austria- Helsinki, Finland- Turku, Finland (Double Length)
Helsinki, Finland- Quebec City, Quebec, Canada (Via Paris and Montreal)

This is very unrealistic, expensive to get flights between and spread out. New countries- Venezuela, Tasmania, Bosnia and Herzegovina. This route goes to new major cities in old countries like Turku, Quebec City (History), Melbourne.

A Roadblock U-Turn wouldn't be too much to ask, no?

Either that or the Yield to return - I don't know, it always seemed more devastating than a U-Turn, but then again, it all depends on what Detour the U-Turn appears
