Josh is talking to Sheila about the whole think that happened with Amanda.  She says that the comments about her dad and using the c word was too much.  I think Alex might be going around and talking to everyone in the house to see how they feel about Amanda to save himself.

But Alex didn't say anything to Josh I don't think (I think this is Josh's plan so people can understand why they need to put Alex up - everyone hates Amanda likes Alex ..... problem)

Now talking to Ryan about how long he has been smoking.

They are trying to get him to stop.  He has been smoking for 7 years.
