TAR Asia Fan's Analysis of Past Seasons

apskip:
Ken, you are talking here about my favorite Amazing Race ever. You failed to mention the most thrilling finale ever, with Wil within 10 seconds of the Finish Line but without a trailing Tara when overtaken by Chris and Alex.

For the category Best Task "Herding the Sheep" does not make it into my top 5 from AR2. It is open to contention but I think the Roadblock at Syndey Opera House was one of the best ever. Forcing the chosen team member to use the locals to translate the local slang into real English and help them find each next place was brilliant. The results were hilarious, particularly with Wil and Blake having to redo the course. The runner-up in this category would be the Cooper Pedy "Heat Up" Detour aka Golf in Hell. Paige and Blake were the only ones to try this, but it was great fun to watch them tackle the confusing course and weird rules.

I don't like your choices of Wil and Tara for "Most Annoying." Sure Wil was a jerk but somebody had to be cast in the villain role that Joe and Bill had claimed in AR1. I vote for Gary as "Most Annoying." I always wanted him off my TV screen whenever he appeared. That was never the case with Wil or Tara.

The Team that Should Have Won was Wil and Tara. They would have won easily if Wil hadn't been such a jerk in trying to beat the cab line at Oakland International Airport. That appeared to cost them at least 10 minutes and all they needed were 15 extra seconds to win.

TARAsia Fan:
Ap,

Good analysis as always. You did note that I put Gary & Dave as Most Annoying Team. Mostly because of Gary, this team was grating, idiotic and even lied to people as they were begging for money in Australia. However, I thought Wil was more annoying as an individual because he would promise not to be annoying and then was annoying the following day. Tara didn't help matters either, but I think their dynamic was volatile to begin with.
