he he.... I was just roaming around Nipponbashi this afternoon.
--- Quote ---Nipponbashi (日本橋, Nipponbashi?) is a shopping district of Naniwa Ward, Osaka, Japan. The area extends north from the JR Shin-Imamiya Station on Sakaisuji Street, and is also within easy walking distance of the Namba entertainment/shopping district.
During the Edo period, this district was known as a stage (宿場町, Shukuba-machi?), called Nagamachi (長町, Nagamachi?). In 1792 and 1872, the Osaka municipal government renamed this district from Nagamachi to Nipponbashi. During the Meiji and Taishō periods, many second-hand bookshops opened there. After World War II, many consumer electronics stores are opened and it became well known as a Den Den Town.
Den Den Town
Den Den Town (でんでんタウン, Den Den taun?), or Denki no machi (電気の町, Denki no machi?) is a shopping district in the Nipponbashi, famous for its wide variety of consumer electronics stores, and especially famous for its negotiable prices—unique to Osaka and the Kansai region. Several retailers are also tax and duty free. Den Den Town is probably the best area for getting hold of anime, manga and related figures. There are a huge number of stores providing vast amounts of goodies for fans of anime/manga.

 I think I found a story about a PLEN robot (with a panda face) in a store in Nipponbashi :lol3:

puddin:
Oh I want one! I can scare me cats :yess:
Anything on the producers Nagomi-mobile or where it might be located? I can't find anything :duno:
Neobie:
Took me long enough to figure this one out! Try to match the kanji towards the bottom of the right pillar... ;D
It's the Kitamido Shrine! Nice hunch Boingo!
