Here is the distribution map for the games and times in your area. Don't forget if one game ends early, CBS will cut to one in progress so everyone in the Eastern and Central time zones can join the primetime lineup together. If you have the CBS Eye-lert, you'll be e-mailed or texted the start time of The Amazing Race. Two weeks ago when CBS had the doubleheader, the start time was 8:55 p.m. because the Broncos-Bears game went into OT. I do believe with the Steelers-Pats, the game will end late and TAR will not begin until 8:40 p.m. at the earliest.

I really hope we get a 30 minute overrun. With the fact that its December (when viewership typically goes down) and the fact that AR will have a week off, be airing agin just before Christmas (with many people traveling) and most likely airing through the early part of January. It will be running for pretty much the rest of its run, during a low point of total viewership.
So far, this season is the 3rd most watched season of the Amazing Race, with only season 6's awesome ratings (most likely helped by the general strong feeling people had about season 5), and of course season 7 (highest rated season most likely due to the strong cross over appeal at that time of Rob & Amber).
I don't want the rest of this cycle's season to bring the viewership average down below any other season.
Sure we have cycle 13 approved, but it is very doubtful that it will be done for this spring (they would need to start filming in January), and while it is possible that they could use it for a summer run (which god that would be nice), I want CBS to kick themselves over not picking the show up for two cycles last summer.
And I don't want them to hold cycle 13 for the fall, and hold off approving more cycles until the see the results of that season. That would be a long dry spell of not knowing if we would be getting more cycles are not.
So here is to a nice big fat, overrun helping people stay with CBS.

Well thats one of the very few pluses to living on the west coast no delay for me. NO matter how long the overrun. All i get is the plus, none of the negative.
TARAsia Fan:
The 4th quarter of the latest late game, Steelers-Pats has a ways to go, but conceivably could finish by 7:20 p.m. as long as they're aren't too many throwing plays. With the Patriots up big, the Steelers may be content with allowing the Pats to run out the clock so we may not get a big overrun.
