Even though I watched it live, I had taped the show....just finished watching it again!
Cook and ZZ Top!! Did they rock, or what? :yess:
Carrie looked fab!
Loved Syesha and Seal!
I was excited about George Michael, then disappointed....oh well...
Loved Cook singing the finale song....loved how he took Archie in and tried to include him in the audulation....big man...class act all the way.

Oh GrandmawLily I feel the same way about the show except for George Michael I went over to QVC to see the Special Value of the Day and it seemed "that song" went on forever! But I do have to say I really liked David A with One Republic and "Apologize" the song suited him and it sounded good. I really enjoyed seeing Carly and Micheal Johns again, too. Any ways it was a great show and thank you ca bb for telling me not to fast forward!

Great show! Syesha, Brooke, Michael Johns, all of them performed really well tonite. I'm so happy Cook won, but would've been happy with either one. They will both become successful artists, imo. Season 7 was the best season! Yeah! :jumpy:

Ryan said at the beginning that the winner had 56% of the votes, for some reason i knew at that point that is was cookie, but still wanted to see it with my own eyes.
and regarding the judges backpeddling, i really think they know who won and had to cover themselves, because at that point they made fools of themselves on the show on tuesday.
i need to go download all of cookies songs since they said last night that they were only going to be there for a limited time.
I am sooooo excited, i could barely sleep last night, too fired up :wohoo:

Yup! Exactly my point before. Their annointed one didn't pull out the votes and they all looked like real idiots for piling the praise on him and dissing Cook so badly. I did appreciate Simon's comments and apology to Cook, it did seem authentic, and I thought it was appropriate that he admitted to being disrespectful of Cook's talent.
Most of the show was great! Loved the group numbers, seeing the SYTYCD top 10 from last year was a cool touch. Carrie looked amazing and sounded as good as she looked. Carly and Michael Johns duet was awesome! Brook singing with Graham Nash...what a dream come true for her (and he had some really nice things to say about Brook on the TVGuide channel pre-show). George Michael....I agree with the rest, YAY!!! And then, not so much. David A. singing "Apologize"...YAY and then it got TOO long. Cook with ZZTop...holy cow!!! That was AMAZING! But my true 80's hero: BRYAN ADAMS!!!! AHHHHH!!!!! (I went to see his Reckless tour back in 85 when I was in high school....yeah, I'm old!)
