TARAsia Fan:
You need IE7 now.

I just had a chance to get through all the Webclips. Two about Azaria and Hendekea tell a powerful tale that quite undercuts the "Business class" as the "Two Little Worlds" that explain why they were eliminated.  Not even close, Azaria, as you started the rowing task with an opportunity to catch up. Why didn't you, fit athlete that you are, make huge gains on little old Donald?

The answer, my friends, is not blowing in the wind. It is found in "Two Brainiacs on a Boat", the pathetic tale of Azaria the genius who could not figure out for a half hour that there was a rock anchor weighing down his rowboat and making it go slow. Once he discovered this, he reeled it in and off they flew with his limited oarsmanship. However, by then the lead Donald and Nic had was just enough to beat Azaria and Hendekea to the taxi to the pitstop.

Conclusion: Azaria screwed himself by not recognizing the anchor's existence. This was the main reason his team was eliminated, as they had almost made up the "business class fiasco" time gap.

michael:
Apskip I think the point is that they would 100% not have been eliminated had they bought the correct tickets.

apskip:
Michael, you have obviously missed the point so now you are going to have to suffer through one of my diatribes. Winning football teams have all sorts of bad things(injuries, penalties, fumbles, interceptions) happen to them, but they find a way to win. The key is that they seldom in the red zone let it get to fourth down so they have to kick the field goal. They get first downs or score touchdowns on first, second or third downs in the red zone and avoid that issue.

Now, Azaria and Hendekea did get a terriblly bad break with the ticketing fiasco. However, when they reached the rowboat in Dubrovnik harbor they still had a good chance of winning 5th place and survival. They failed to do that because Azaria did not notice something fundamental with respect to boats, an anchor. Is that his fault? You bet, and it cost him the race. His baloney excuses in "Two Little Words" indicated his refusal to accept responsibility for his own failure. He found it much more convenient to try to deflect it onto someone else, who admittedly screwed up but did not eliminate his team. Azaria eliminated his team!

mswood:
Yeah, but how much of their ticketing fiasco was there own fault.  They wasted a tremednous amount of time looking for the earliest possible flight instead of staying put and sticking with "what at the time" was considered a very solid arrival time.  One that would have them traveling with others including a team that they had to believe they would be able to beat during tasks ( :cmaslol ).

From the clips and the episode it is clear that Jenn & Nathan just barely made that flight.  We also know that the flight did sell out of coach seats.

What we don't know is if the error was caught early if they still had coach seats available (its possible that they didn't).  Or if they didn't if they had enough time to try and book anotehr flight that would have gotten them there any earlier.
