An update from Dick:
Well, I haven't posted a blog in a while so.... I figured why not now? What the ****, there are a few things to talk about. So, here we go...
Let me start with the last one first...
An audition for the History Channel? Me? Yep....
A fan (thanks again) sent me the info about a show that is looking for a host. The show is about tattoos, the cultures old and new, the styles, the meaning and what they represent to the people that have them. Everything from tribes in the middle of nowhere, to urban gangs, to music etc... from all over the world. I would be traveling 3 months out of the year.
I spoke with the casting director, who knows me from the show, and he thought I might be a good fit and definitely wanted me in the mix of people they are choosing from.
So, I did a tape for them today. I am not crazy about it, but there was no time to make it great, the casting director is letting me send mine in well after the cut off date for submissions. And after just doing this tape, I could tell I would need a lot more practice at doing it to be good. So, I really don't expect to get the gig, but it was cool to do anyhow and I just figured I would share that.
And there is another project I am working on that looks like it is gonna happen, but I can't talk about it right now. We are still in talks, one side is about to ink the deal, but I am nowhere near that point, yet. But this one I am very excited about and things are lining up great. So, I am keeping my fingers crossed and taking a wait and see attitude with it, but it is very promising.
I went to the LA and OC Suicidal Tendencies shows and what a blast it was. I forget how nuts those shows are until I go to another one. One recommendation I have is to stay the **** out of the pit!! Those guys are ****ing nuts.
It seemed as though half the crowd at each show knew who I was and gave me props for wearing the S.T. **** I did on Big Brother, they were all cool as hell.
I ran into Fletcher, the singer for Pennywise at the LA show. I have known Fletcher for 3-4 years now, back from when I ran The Lighthouse Cafe in Hermosa, all the Pennywise guys live in the southbay and used to pop into the club from time to time. He said he was arguing with his chick about watching Big Brother before the first episode aired, he lost, and as he was watching he saw me and tripped out telling his chick that he knew me. He watched every episode and he had a lot of questions about the show for me, lol. After exchanging numbers, he disappeared into the pit. I didn't see him again until the last song when he got on stage with Mike Muir to sing part of the last song with him.
Mike was great and it was great seeing him on stage enjoying himself again. He is a great guy and I am glad he is my friend.

James Rhine Christmas Update
James talked to TV Grapevine, here is the video link:

James Rhine remains my personal favorite Big Brother house guest. He is just one of those people that once you meet and get to know becomes like a son or a brother to you. People often assume they think they know someone from what they watched on the CBS Big Brother reality TV show, but James is one of those people that just isn't what you think he is. James is a warm and welcoming person, some one you are happy to call a friend. James has also maintained his MySpace site and his JamesBB6 site with a very faithful following.
Today James called me while I was up a ladder painting a ceiling and said, Al, you've been bugging me to do an update interview, let's get it done. So there I sat with paint all over me, you know what I mean if yu have ever painted a ceiling, bring up the programs to do the following interview. I hope you enjoy it and provide lots of feedback.
