I don't think that even if the writers strike is over it would matter. They already confirmed it for Feb right? And they are doing casting. Hmm. Unless they tell people it could be for Feb or July. Who knows.

I think even if the strike ends in December it will take a while for new episodes to be written... so probably pretty much this season is ruined... and towards the end of the season we might see some shows. Just my thought!

If the strike ends real soon...I bet Julie Chen makes sure her CBS exec hubby puts BB9 as usual in July. I sense she gets stressed with only one season per year. Seems I read here somewhere that her reaction on the EShow indicated displeasure about two BBs airing in 2008.
