Despite 11 episodes/legs, and still 11 teams, with Survivor's finale, I can't picture TAR ending before 2008 either.

GMAN, it does sound plausible. However, if you examine the entire range of possibilities, it is more likely that the one TBC with 12 stops will occur at the end of the Alaska leg so that it in effect goes right into the final leg as has been done in many 2 hour finales in the past. Neither is probable given the entire range of other possibilties(any of the other 10 legs) at this point.
