I'm not defending ED in saying this but considering what happened in the second season of big brother wouldn't you think they have extensive (criminal)background checks and psychological evaluations to make sure that they pose no real threat to any HG's?
This is a recap of the situationEarly in the second season, a houseguest, Justin, placed a knife to the throat of fellow houseguest Krista and asked, "Would you get mad if I killed you?" Both competitors were under the influence of alcohol, but Justin was quickly disqualified and evicted. The houseguests were notified the following morning via the voice of executive producer Arnold Shapiro, who asked them to gather up Justin's belongings to be sent home.

As so many others have said before me, he is there for entertainment purposes but as with everything else in life we tend to get bored of things easily so what once was humourous has now become disgusting. And from what I have read on the boards, alot of people did like him, still like him or now they completely dispise him. It's the same as real life even if these people are on TV. You meet someone, they seem like a great person and then you get to really know them and realize they aren't your cup of tea so you stop talking to them. Why can't it be the same here? Why does everyone have to constantly argue their points about liking someone or not liking someone? And speculating on things that none of us can confirm or deny (haha in the words of Jen). I don't watch the live feeds so maybe there is alot I'm missing but I do read ALL of the posts (thanks for all you live feed updaters! You Rock!) and I don't remember Ed ever saying he was in trouble for spousal abuse. So what if he was in trouble for smoking pot if that's true. Should we start on Amber again because she used to Crank? Everyone has done something in their lives that they are not proud of. ED does take it a bit to far yes but without knowing him personally and how he behaves on the outside I don't think it's fair that people are accusing him of such things. Maybe he is a really nice guy, who knows and I'm sure his relationship with Dani is going to get mentioned after this but whatever happened between them is between them and can't be compared to what he is doing in the game since we don't know all the details about that. All I've seen him doing with her is trying to re-esablish their relationship (which I hope works out for them). I do agree how he treats the other HG's is very wrong but back to my point, if he did anything to truely make anyone feel threatened I'm 99% sure he would be removed.
