:cmas20  This was a great episode.  I really think Taylor learned a good lesson last night. She is always telling EVERYONE that she does not like anyone telling her what to do.

Well that is life. We all have to do some things we really don't want to do don't we? I think after she thought about it, she realized that if she did not get up off of her butt and do something she would not get to do anything fun. Kinda like real life isn't it?

If you work, you can take care of your family and sometimes get to do fun things like go on vacation. If you don't work, you can't even take care of your family. Usually don't even have a family, and sure as heck can't go do anything fun or have any extras in this crazy world. The kids should learn this now at an early age.

I tell all of my grandchildren, Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth (in more ways than one).

I was very proud of Taylor for doing the dishes and really trying. I think the kids did a great thing by telling her that she did good and she could go into the arcade. I really hope she looks back on this and realizes the mistakes that she made and does not turn out a Jen Johnson  :cmas50

Hunter was a perfect choice for the star. I am glad that they know  what it is worth. It is like working for a bonus at your workplace. If you want it bad enough, you go the extra mile to get it.

Sophia as sheriff  :cmas50   Love it!!!

Taylor is just hard headed, and you know what - I think thats what I personally like about her. Sure it might be a bad thing, but did you notice when someone approached her and asked her nicely to do something she DID it? I don't think it was 'just' about the arcade (my opinion). All this season shes been picked on (has she deserved some of it, sure) but shes 11, 99% of 11 year olds that I have known do not take orders. Shes only human to. JMO. Its funny to me, everyone bashes Taylor, but Greg is like all Mr mighty...... yet look at the things he has done. When he wasn't getting his way he threw major hissy fits and was going to turn the town upside down.

Sophia has always annoyed me, and I wish someone would just tell her that she is NOT perfect. UH!

Tommorows episode: The Sheriff takes control of the town!

Who would've thunk it, with Sophia and all it comes as a total surprise - yes im being sarcastic.

From TV Guide: The town-council members leave Bonanza City to visit with local Native Americans. While they are away, Bonanza's so-called sheriff seizes the oppurtunity to take control of the town.

You know what im thinking, if the council leaves - then pretty much Sophia is the only "older" one left right? Cause Greg, Blaine and isn't Michael or somebody on council. No wonder why she uses this to take control :lol3:

:cmaslol  The council tells the town that Sophia is in control before they leave. This could be interesting.  The council is Greg, Blaine, Michael and DK.

Wasn't that last week? Since they already made her sheriff. I can just see this now though with how bossy she is. I was thinking that it was Michael, to me those 3 - Greg, Blaine and Michael are what I think kinda compete with Sophia so I can def. see her taking this as an oppurtunity to be even more bossy. Even if they hadn't told her she was in charge she would've done so anyways. DK gets on my nerves and I do not understand how he made council.

Im just insterested in why they say "so-called" sheriff in the tv guide, it sounds like it could be a fight - but I haven't seen a preview.

Glad it went smoothly when Sophia was in charge :lol3: I really thought she was gonna nominate Taylor for the gold star  :cmas50

But I felt bad for Zack :( I mean I know he shouldn't have nominated himself but I agree, he has deserved it. When the yellow team hasn't been wanting to cook hes been the only one to do so. And I also think that he is the one that got Taylors attention more so then anyone else. For once im glad DK said what he said..... anyways it was a good episode and im looking forward to next week!

With the gold stars next week, I wonder how much they are worth if they are twice as big. Go Taylor. Hahaha!  :cmas19

So did Taylor win the whole thing?  I didn't really get into the show, just watched enough to know she was purdy assertive and talkative!!
And could really belt out a song!

 :xmas49  Hey Rudy

Nobody wins the whole thing as far as we know.  They get the 20 thousand gold star awards for doing a good job in the city. The next episode, the stars are maybe worth more money. I am thinking that maybe they will give them all ( who stayed for the whole time) a scholarship or something along those lines.  I think the girl you are talking about that sang Amazing Grace was Laurel. She was on the town council when she sang that. I don't remember Taylor singing :cmas5

I'm fairly certain the 'burning' part we see is part of a challenge. They did say they have some tougher challenges and putting out a fire is tough with only a bucket brigade.

I thought it was Taylor that sang the song to - cause I for some reason remember someone earlier commenting on her "southern" voice. I missed a few episodes earlier in the season because the kids and I were sick for two weeks (on and off).

I doubt Taylor gets a gold star this next episode. Nobody likes her and from what I know the 50,000 gold star is for who worked the hardest the whole season. I hope its the boy that just got his not this last week but the week before (the one whos dad lost his job). Up before anyone working, and never stopping. But of course just like anything in life its a popularity contest.

And according to TV Guide they are all surprised with something that leaves them in tears

I'm kinda wishing I'd stayed with this show, but there were schedule conflicts as usual!  :groan:

The girl who sang Amazing Grace is red headed & talks a lot older than her age!
Whoever, she can really sing!  Maybe the show will give her the opportunity to use her vocal talent?  American Idol someday?!

For the ones who stick it out to the end, scholarships would be a great reward.  :cmas16
:xmas49 Blondie, thanks for explaining!  :kisses

I remember Laurel singing at the talent show. I don't recall what Taylor did, and don't recall her singer ever.

Your talking about the Ginger Kid?? Right?!?! LOL

I will miss this show...a lot...those kids were great entertainment, and will miss them a lot. They always did something that made me laugh at them uncontrollably. It was great
